I Help Other Adults Raising Special Needs Adults Achieve Ways to Relieve Stress.

About Me.

Hello. I am Kim. My husband, Mike, and I have 2 daughters, 2 sons and 5 grand children.

Our 2 sons are Special Needs. Everyday leads to new challenges.

We live on 18 acres with plenty to do and have another 50 acres with our hobby farm animals. Learning how to stay calm and patient is the key

to my daily life.

Where I Started and Why I am Awesome.

My husband is a truck driver and works long hours. I have always been the one to have multiple jobs at a time while our kids were growing up.

Once the boys were done with High School and their transitional Program was complete, it was time to figure out what our life plan looked like. We tried our first son in an employment program. That didn't work out so well because they couldn't follow his care plan. As we all know, we raise our kids the best because we understand them the best. At that point, we decided I would stay home with the boys and help to teach them life skills.

We then moved away from the cities and got acreage. We live on 18 acres with 4 acres ready to plant food, we raise our 75 chickens and turkeys, have huge ponds to stay entertained, and a huge yard to mow.

My daughter moved close by on 50 acres, just off the river. That is where we keep our other animals...Pigs, Goats, Donkeys, Chickens, Turkeys, and Ducks.

Our job is to keep our boys busy, to minimize outbursts and tempers, through activities and on both farms. Together we find ways to keep them active though teaching them how to care for the animals, maintenance on our cars and equipment, building structures and fencing, yard maintenance, and bonding with the animals.

Everyday is a new challenge, but with my huge tribe of support we work together to make life less stressful.
